Zoho partners with Because International to empower social entrepreneurs across East Africa

Nairobi, Kenya—December 2, 2025—Zoho, a global technology company has partnered with Because International, a non-profit organization to support social entrepreneurs across Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. Through this collaboration, Zoho is providing Zoho Wallet Credits, which can be used to purchase any of Zoho's 55+ products, to fellows and alumni that are a part of Because Accelerator and Fellowship programs.
Because International supports innovators developing products designed to alleviate poverty. Its programs nurture entrepreneurs who are building impact-driven solutions, many of whom operate in East Africa. Zoho's contribution will help these founders strengthen their operational systems, streamline financial processes, and enhance impact reporting and scale their mission-driven businesses.
“Zoho will help the East Africa Alumni community to put in structures and processes they need to operate efficiently, report impact credibly and focus resources on scaling their mission," said Harliet Njenga, team member at Because International. "Zoho will help them build structured systems, automate their finance processes and ensure compliance transparency, improve impact measurement and enhance their outreach and engagement.”

As part of the partnership, both the organizations are exploring opportunities to conduct online workshops and training sessions that will help participating founders make full use of the tools provided. In accordance with the signed MOU, the collaboration does not include direct funding or sponsorship. Zoho's support consists access to its comprehensive suite of business management applications through Wallet Credits, the value of which varies based on regional pricing in Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda.
