Limited Use + Distribution Agreement

The following agreement applies to your purchase of The Shoe That Grows. Excluded from this agreement are Buy One, Give One purchases.

LIMITED USE. This product has been designed to meet the immediate needs of children and adults living in poverty. As such, it is intended for humanitarian aid purposes only—not for personal use. By purchasing this product, you are agreeing that you will only donate them for distribution to the intended audience.

RESPONSE. Further, at some point after your distribution, Because will send an electronic questionnaire asking you to verify the details of your distribution and provide additional feedback. We request that you agree to respond to these requests for information regarding the donation or distribution of this product when prompted by Because International.

NON-DISCRIMINATION. The intended audience for your donation should be made in consultation with the local organization which understands the children and the culture when determining how shoes will be distributed. Shoes must be distributed according to need, and shall not be distributed on the basis of gender, race, religion, or any other discriminatory practice.

NON-EXPLOITATION. We encourage practices such as children earning shoes through their own efforts and achievements since this can encourage a sense of ownership and pride. However, these practices must be well thought out to ensure that the dignity of the children is prioritized, and that incentive-based systems do not exploit children in any way.
