Over 1.5 billion people suffer from soil transmitted diseases worldwide.
Without shoes, children are especially vulnerable to diseases, parasites and injury. Children who get sick or injured miss school, can’t help their families, and suffer needlessly. And since children’s feet grow so quickly, they often outgrow donated shoes within a year, leaving them once again exposed.
Girl Scouts and The Shoe That Grows can change that.

Sign up for the philanthropic reward program below and receive free resources, including a code to order a free sample of The Shoe That Grows and cultural activities to help the girls learn more about the countries where we’ve distributed shoes.
Complete with access to:
Your Girl Scouts can choose to donate shoes in place of receiving a reward item based on the structure your council determines. At the end of the cookie season, you’ll submit a single donation to Because International.
After we receive your donation, we’ll send the shoes to one of our partners on the ground in Africa or in refugee camps who will distribute shoes to kids and families who can benefit from them most.
