Supporting kids and families

Working closely with local schools, community-based organizations, faith communities, and grassroots leaders, Inua Village strives to reach children and families who need support the most.

Working in Vihiga County

Inua Village is centered in Vihiga County with a special focus on remote rural villages where poverty and limited access to basic resources create barriers to education and opportunity.

Removing barriers

Through their broader ecosystem, Inua Village advances education, financial inclusion, entrepreneurship, local manufacturing, and food security in addition to their shoe distributions.

Why shoes?

More than footwear.

For many children in rural Kenya, a pair of shoes is much more than footwear. Shoes help prevent jigger infestation and protect children's feet from the harsh conditions of village life. They give children pride, dignity, and the confidence to walk to school and participate fully in their communities.
