Dave is an entrepreneur who has been involved in his family business since 1970. He worked his way into different departments in the business to gain experience and later became president for over 30 years. Over the last 22 years, Dave has made 13 humanitarian mission trips to three different countries in Africa. Dave was an officer of a non-profit organization that worked with the people of Mali, West Africa. During 11 trips to Mali while sleeping in the villages, he witnessed the children in the rural areas who needed safe footwear. Because International is a perfect fit for Dave to put his African experiences to work advising and supporting the work of distributing The Shoe That Grows to kids around the world.  Recently semi-retired, Dave and his wife, Anne, have been married for nearly 43 years, and they have traveled together on seven of those 13 humanitarian Africa trips.
