Each year we take a small groups of partners to Africa to see The Shoe That Grows in action—to walk into classrooms, hand out shoes, and meet the kids, families, and teachers whose lives are changing because of this work. You'll experience the country and culture: distributions during the week, a safari to take in the wildlife and landscape, time with our team and the field partners doing this work day in and day out. You'll see what your support actually does firsthand.

Experience Kenya in a truly unique way.

This is more than a volunteer trip or a service project. It's an immersive look at Because International's work in one of the regions where we've built deep roots. You'll travel with Because International staff, visit program sites in Busia County, hear directly from local partners, and return home with a firsthand understanding of what it takes to address poverty at the community level.

Spots are limited. This trip is designed to be small by intention so that every participant has meaningful access to the people and places that make this work come alive.

In-country transportation, accommodations, meals, and all program visits are covered. The approximate cost for this trip is $5,000 per person (shared room) or $6,000 (single occupancy). International airfare is not included. A $1,000 deposit reserves your spot; please note that deposits are non-refundable.

This trip is for supporters who want to go deeper—people who believe in Because International's mission and are ready to experience it immersively. No prior international travel experience is required, though a spirit of curiosity and flexibility goes a long way in Kenya.

This trip is for people who are already partnering with us or seriously considering it and want to see the work from the inside before deciding what coming alongside us might look like. Our hope is that travelers come home ready to help us bring shoes to many more kids.
