Overview

In Sub-Saharan Africa, the lack of a clean light source is frustrating families, polluting the environment, damaging children's health, and leading to poor performance in school. Discarded plastics and e-waste choke animals, contaminate water, and harm humans. Kerosene lanterns and candles pose fire hazards, damaging health and productivity. The problem inspired us to start OneGrid Energies. Our flagship product, OnePlastic, is an eco-friendly lantern made from recycled waste plastic bottles and repurposed laptop batteries, providing affordable, reliable lighting to energy-deprived communities.

Our mission is to provide low-cost lanterns made from waste plastic bottles through sustainable solar charging stations.
